Gleason School hosted a December 13 luncheon in honor of the Senior Citizens in the community.
As they parked at the school, guests were greeted at the sidewalk by Luke Hughes, who provided first-class service--driving guests to the front door in a golf-cart.
Gleason junior high and high school Student Council members volunteered as servers for the meal in the Gleason School Cafeteria, which provided a delicious lunch.
To the delight of the guests, musical entertainment was provided by four Gleason High School students: Gracie Long and Zanda Tipton, who sang “Silent Night,” along with Grace Stafford and Sophie Wilson who chose to sing “Mary, Did You Know.”
As they left, each of the 27 guests received a gift. Gleason School’s annual Senior Citizen Luncheon is planned and coordinated by the Gleason Student Council, which is sponsored by Amy Orr and Phyllis Gearin.
